Slider Cutlets

(Makes 4 cutlets)
Ingredients

20 pcs – French beans (chopped finely)

2 pcs – Carrot (chopped finely)

1/4 cup – Capsicum (chopped finely)

1 pc – Potato (chopped finely)

1 1/2 cups – Cabbage (chopped finely)
1/2 cup - Peas

To taste – Salt

To taste – Red chilli powder
A pinch of turmeric powder

1 Tbsp – Vegetable oil

2 tsp – All purpose flour [Maida, flour]

1 cup – Water

Method

Heat the oil in a pan.

Add the french beans, carrot, capsicum, potatoes, cabbage, peas, salt and saute for 8-10 minutes.

Cover with a upturned lid or a shallow platter [thali] and put the water in the lid.

Cook further for 5 minutes, remove the lid to check and mix the vegetables.

Keep checking a couple of times more and when the vegetables are cooked, add the flour, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.

Mix well and remove from flame after 2-3 minutes.
Mash the vegetables and let it cool.

Then divide it into four parts and shape each of them into round cutlets.
Heat the griddle [tava] and spread some oil on it.
Put the cutlets on it and cook them on both the sides.

Bechamel sauce
(White sauce with cabbage)

Ingredients

1 Tbsp – Butter

1 Tbsp – All purpose flour [Maida, flour]

1 cup – Milk

To taste – Salt

To taste – Black pepper [Kali mirch] (ground)

1/3 cup - Cabbage (chopped finely)

Method

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

As soon as the butter melts, add the flour and stir continuously on medium flame.

When the flour turns light brown, gradually add the milk, stirring constantly so that no lumps are formed.

Bring to a boil and add the salt and pepper.

Cook further for a few minutes till smooth and slightly thickened.

Remove from flame.
When slightly cooled add the cabbage to it.

Burger Bread

Ingredients

4 pcs – Burger bread (small size)

Butter

Method

Slice the bread horizontally into two parts.

Apply butter on all the sides.

Put the breads on the griddle and roast it on both sides until it turns golden brown.

Assembling
Ingredients

4 pcs - Burger bread

8 slices - Tomato

8 slices – Capsicum

8 slices – Onions

Iceberg lettuce - Separate into leaves

4 pcs – Slider cutlets

Bechamel sauce with cabbage

Tomato sauce

Tabasco or Sams red chilli sauce

4 pcs - Cheese slices (optional)


To Assemble

Keep the bottom part of the bread on a platter.

Place two slices each of tomato, capsicum and onion on it.

Next place the lettuce on it, with half of the lettuce popping out from the side.

Top it with the cutlet.

Put the bechamel sauce, tomato sauce, Tabasco or Sams red chilli sauce and the cheese slice on it.

Cover it with the top part of the bread.

Repeat this process for making the other burgers.

Enjoy.
